39 Hour - Full Time – Kerse Road, Stirling

As a Shop Manager at Stephens Bakery, you play a vital leadership role at the heart of the business. You are responsible for guiding the team day to day, ensuring the shop operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently always.

The shop on Kerse Road has not yet opened, so we are looking to have someone join the team and complete training in our shop in Crossford with our Multi Shop Manager train before transitioning over to the shop in Stirling when it opens.

What You’ll Do

Your main role will be to manage the operations of your shop and everything that this entails:

  • Lead by example and encourage your team to achieve your sales targets whilst providing the customer with great shopping experience every time so they will keep coming back!
  • Recognising potential in your team and discussing their progress with them and the area manager.
  • Providing training to your team on Stephens procedures and offering support.
  • Monitoring and maximising the performance of your team whilst completing staff reviews
  • Our managers like to muck in, when they’re not completing paperwork or cooking, they jump on the till and helping their team with the lunchtime rush or grabbing a brush and sweeping the floor whilst delegating tasks amongst the team
  • Morning, afternoon and late afternoon shifts are shared amongst management. Our morning shifts mean setting up our display cabinets, putting away deliveries, counting stock and preparing salad whilst our late afternoon shifts include cleaning, sweeping and counting stock.
  • Complete compliance tasks to ensure that the shop is running diligently
  • Our managers create rotas for their shops, handle the cash every day and order stock to ensure optimum availability.
