Role Overview:

N.B. We have advertised as an Office Manager as this is the most applicable job title in the job market. The actual title of the role will be Business Support Manager.

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Support, the Business Support Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our business-critical tasks. This role requires strong administrative skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage a team of Operations Support Assistants effectively. The successful candidate will also take on key tasks, such as fleet management and production planning for seasonal events, working closely with the Head of Business Support to drive operational excellence across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist with business-critical tasks such as order processing and production arrays
  • Manage a team of up to 6 Operations Support Assistants, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Support to develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency
  • Take ownership of key tasks including fleet management and production planning for seasonal events, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and performance, working closely with every department within the business to achieve this.
  • Pivotal in ensuring correct products are planned to go to the correct customers, for over 170 delivery locations, 7 days a week

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in office management, including people management and development (preferred candidates will have a minimum of 5 years experience)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the business
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also functioning well within a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications
